Governor Training and Development

We offer a variety of programmes and network groups aimed at both existing and new Governors.

All delegates must be booked onto courses to ensure that facilities/resources are adequate.

Effective Monitoring and Challenge:

Tuesday 24th March,  10am - 11.30am

Tuesday 24th March, 6pm - 7.30pm (Fully Booked)

Wednesday 22nd April, 6pm - 7.30pm 

Booking is essential.  The cost of this training is £25 per delegate.  Please note that cancellations within 7 working days of the course would still need to be charged. 

New to Governor Induction / Refresher training forthcoming dates:

Tuesday 12th May 5pm - 8pm

Developing A Winning Team

To support schools in developing a ‘Winning Team’ we have engaged Brian Beal who delivers a range of governor support programmes for Leeds Beckett and the Alliance ‘New to Governor’ sessions. He will facilitate a guided forum, aimed at Headteachers and Chairs of Governors - an opportunity to spend time considering the effectiveness of leadership and governance in their schools.

Booking is essential.  The cost of this training is £50 per Alliance school (CofG and HT)
