CACHE Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools course.

 

Are you looking to make a positive step towards your future? Are you 18 or over and interested in a career as a Teaching Assistant?  We are now enrolling for the September 2017 - July 2018 course.

Qualification                                                                                                                          

Nationally recognised CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF)                                                         

The Course runs for 1 academic year.  Learners will be required to spend a minimum of 2 days per week  gaining classroom experience and one evening session per week to cover the theory aspect of the course.

The evening sessions will take place on Mondays   17:00 – 19:00 at Richmond School (term time only).

Method of Assessment                                                                                                                                                                    Learners will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence and written assignments which demonstrates their learning against each of the assessment criteria for the course. They will also have regular visits in school from the course assessors and will receive marking and feedback support during the evening sessions.

Minimum Requirements                                                                                                                                                                                The Swaledale Alliance is dedicated to providing training that our local schools recognise as a high quality qualification. Applicants are therefore required to have GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above. Applicants who do not have GCSEs (or equivalent) but are working towards these qualifications will also be considered.    

 

The cost for this course is £1650 this includes

 

  • Course portfolio
  • Personal tutor support
  • Assignment marking and feedback
  • Assistance with school placement

 

This does not include:

  • A non refundable course registration fee is payable by the learner at the start of the course of £120.
  • Writing materials

Sponsorship information for Learners:

 

A limited number of sponsorship placements are available and are allocated through application and interview process.

 

For learners on the sponsorship programme the cost of the course will be met by the sponsor school. In return the learner will be required to commit to undertaking their school experience for 2 days per week (term time only) in that school over the academic year.
