Prevention & Management of Pupil Behaviour
(including positive behaviour strategies)
In response to requests from Headteachers for accessible support to assist with challenging pupil behaviour, the Swaledale Alliance has joined forces with Securicare International Ltd to provide a variety of certified programmes to our Alliance schools.
General Overview of Courses
The courses focus on de-escalation, primary and preventative strategies for the management of disruptive and challenging behaviours with a emphasis on restraint reduction. They also cover positive responses to physically challenging or hazardous behaviours.
Our courses will prepare delegates for the updated government guidance in April 2026 - Restrictive interventions, including use of reasonable force, in schools (DfE)
Intended Audience
Those who teach, support and care for children and young people who may present behaviours that are disruptive, challenging or hazardous.
We have the following options available to our schools:
