Consultant Headteachers
Consultant Headteachers are Heads who work as System Leaders who have made the decision not to seek National Leader of Education (NLE) or Local Leader of Education (LLE) accreditation or have lesser experience but wish to work alongside other colleagues and support the system.
The Swaledale Alliance currently has 8 appointed Consultant Headteachers. CHT's can be deployed to give support to a Headteacher where there has been a request from the school or where the Alliance (or LA's School Improvement Partnership) has identified a need. For example, to:
- support a newly appointed Headteacher
- be a reviewer where schools have entered into a Partnership School Review
- provide appropriate encouragement, challenge and support to a Headteacher who needs it
