NQT Development Programme
The Swaledale Alliance runs an NQT development programme providing a range of high-quality development opportunities and observations of excellent teachers. It is aimed at the NQTs in schools during the academic year.
The programme focusses on providing a clear CPD framework for NQTs to access during their weekly NQT time. Activities predominantly focus on observation of teaching and learning – both of fellow NQTs and of experienced and outstanding practitioners in local schools.
When is the initial session?
The first session is intended for NQT's and their School Based Mentor (SBM) and will be on Tuesday 19th September 2017 at Richmond School commencing at 4pm. Please ensure that you confirm your attendance to Leo Stolarski on firstname.lastname@example.org
What is the cost?
The cost of the Programme will be £300 per delegate for partnership schools, and £500 per delegate for non-partnership schools. Please note these prices are for 2016/17 and may be subject to change, please check with the Alliance Admin Team. The Alliance is an Appropriate Body and can register your NQT for an additional one off cost of £150.
School-Based Mentor Training
The NQT's own school will provide a mentor who must attend a CPD session in September at Richmond School and will be given a handbook and a copy of the programme to support the NQT.
