NQT Development Programme and Appropriate Body for Registering NQT's
The Swaledale Alliance runs an NQT development programme providing a range of high-quality development opportunities and observations of excellent teachers. It is aimed at the NQTs in schools during the academic year.
The programme focusses on providing a clear CPD framework for NQTs to access during their weekly NQT time. Activities predominantly focus on observation of teaching and learning – both of fellow NQTs and of experienced and outstanding practitioners in local schools.
When is the initial session?
The first session is intended for NQT's and their School Based Mentor (SBM) on 18th September 2018 from 4.00 p.m. - 5.30 p.m. at Brompton on Swale CE Primary School in the Alliance Meeting Room.
What is the cost?
The cost of the Programme will be £300 per delegate for partnership schools, and £500 per delegate for non-partnership schools. You can still access the Programme if your NQT has been registered elsewhere.
The Alliance is an Appropriate Body and can also register your NQT for an additional cost of £150.
School-Based Mentor Training
The NQT's own school will provide a mentor who must attend the Induction session on Tuesday 18th September details above. The Mentor will be given a handbook and a copy of the programme to support the NQT.
